Barbara is the wife of her childhood sweetheart, they will celebrate 40 years of marriage in October. She is a former elementary school teacher, retired administrator, was the primary caregiver of her aging parent, and currently a full-time Realtor at The Danberry Co. Although, she is very proud of her past roles, her most cherished role is that of mother. She firmly believes you get only one opportunity to be a great parent during the formative years of a child’s life.
She is a woman of faith and believes that each day presents each of us with an opportunity to live with hope. It’s her goal to greet others with a warm smile and genuine respect. She enjoys volunteering and helping to serve others.
Q: What do you love most about what you do?
I love EVERYTHING about real estate, especially the amazing people… the people I know and those I am yet to meet. I look forward to connecting at a deeper and more meaningful level.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
There are too many to name.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would travel to Israel right now. My trip was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic. I would love to visit the places I have read so much about in the Bible.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
I would encourage everyone to recognize, embrace and walk in their giftedness. Life is much too short not to.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Spend 6 months serving with our national church’s Missions team.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
My 5th grade teacher, Nona Davis. She had a major impact on my life as a young girl. She was in her twenties at that time, but she helped me recognize I was at a fork in the road and that I had a choice to choose a life worth living or to choose a path that could lead to destruction and ruin. I would meet her for lunch at Le Petit Gourmet.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The metro-parks in our community are wonderful.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Metro-parks, Museum and the Zoo.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My husband…he encourages and inspires me everyday.
