I have lived in Perrysburg for almost 13 years, which is the longest I have lived anywhere in my life by 8 years! I’ve been married for 29 years. My husband is a Marketing professor at BGSU. We have a 12 year old son who attends HPI and swims competitively for the BGSC Gators. Before having my son, I had a variety of careers. After college, I was a social worker for 9 years. I counseled and advocated on behalf of domestic violence and sexual assault survivors. Next, I obtained a MS in Human Resource Management and worked in Human Resources for 5 years. After that, I got certified to teach High School math and taught Algebra and Geometry for 3 years in Texas. I was pregnant with our son when we moved here. I became certified in Ohio to teach HS math, but after having our son, I decided to be a stay at home mom for awhile. During the 4 years of being a SAHM, I found and fell in love with yoga. I became a certified Yoga Instructor and have been teaching yoga for 8 years now. I am registered with Yoga Alliance as an Experienced-RYT 500HR, that’s the number of hours of training I completed. Last year, I also became a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I teach Yoga and do personal training at LiveFIT in Perrysburg, and I teach Yoga at the Fort Meigs YMCA and at WW Knight through Wood County Parks.
