I am the small business owner and sole home stager of Glass City Stagers, LLC. I have been staging homes in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan for over seven years, working with hundreds of real estate agents, flippers, investors, and builders. I also assist homeowners who want to decorate their homes for themselves.
Q: What do you love most about what you do?
Being able to be creative in every house that is different; accentuating the unique features without distracting from the house itself.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Denny Schaffer…was that a given? He’s interesting, trust me.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Israel; to see, walk, and experience where Jesus Christ taught, healed and walked.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Carpe diem: You only live once.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I would love to see Mount Rushmore, the Grand Canyon and the Redwoods. Oops, is that three? I’d like to do it in one trip.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Oprah Winfrey; she has come a long way from her upbringing, is so successful and always giving back. I would take her to one of Toledo’s oldest gems: The Beirut.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The Toledo Metroparks system; not many cities can boast of the same.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
The fact that you can get from A to Z within the metropolitan Toledo area in less than 15-20 minutes. I lived in Atlanta and New Orleans…you miss it when you don’t have it.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
As a stager? Every interior designer and decorator I follow on Instagram. As a person? My husband and kids.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Family. Comfort. Music.
