I have lived in Northwest Ohio my entire life. My husband and I lived in Perrysburg for years, raising our one son in that wonderful community. We have since moved to Monclova and love the area and our neighborhood. We have a very full and enjoyable life, filled with family time, friends and community service. My work with the National Exchange Club, as the first female CEO in its 112 year history, takes me to areas around the country to see the impact of people coming together in unity for service to improve their communities, network and make a difference.

Q: What do you love most about what you do?
Working with community leaders and volunteers who put so much time, energy, and heart into service; the opportunity to produce current and relevant tools to make it easier to be involved; the chance to offer a really great member experience for more than 15,000 people.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Aaron Bortz

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Back to Paris and Reims, and adding Burgundy with friends; we loved everything and need more time to explore and enjoy.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Life is a series of decisions; take a deep breath and think it through.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I would love to learn how to play the harp.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Walt Churchill, to learn more about his history, life experiences, and business advice. We would go to Barr’s Public House for an awesome weekly special, and maybe even a Vanilla Bean Martini.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Wine tastings on the patio at Walt Churchill’s Market.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
My amazing husband, Steve Edwards. He is interesting, kind, so encouraging and a delight to be with.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
Exchange Club members across the country; their acts of service are inspiring and motivate our National Headquarters team to always taker it up a notch.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Good vibes, welcoming, great food and wine.
