Dr. Andrew & Tracey have been residents and local healthcare providers in the Maumee Perrysburg area for over 20 years. Dr. Andrew is a Urogynecologic surgeon and Tracey is a women’s health nurse practitioner. Together, they have provided specialty women’s care through their private practice, the well respected Northwest Ohio Center for Urogynecology & Women’s Health. They have evolved and grown the practice from Dr. Andrew’s father, Dr. James Croak, who retired in 2006 and practiced for over 33 years. They are loyal to their community in which they serve professionally. They also are married and enjoy all the area has to offer with their family of 2 boys, Rowan & Grady, and their black lab, Tallulah.
Q: What do you love most about what you do?
What we enjoy most is the positive impact we have on changing women’s lives for the better. To help a woman with a humiliating, pelvic floor problem return to a normal activity filled life is very rewarding.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
There are so many people that have touched our lives, it’s hard to single out one.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
We would love to take our boys back to Ireland before they go off to college. The country, people, and history are beautiful.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
There are times in life that you will be told “no,” you are not good enough or it cannot be done, but there is always a way to find that “yes” to accomplish your goals and dreams.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
We both would love an extended carefree driving or boating holiday in a beautiful part of our world. Exploring all those little special places and experiencing what makes life grand would be wonderful someday.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
We think lunch with Ernest Hemingway and Taylor Swift would be phenomenal. We think they would have a wonderful time at the Perrysburg Farmer’s Market with the wide variety of superb food trucks. Ernest would probably love learning about the nautical history of our waterways over a perch sandwich, and Taylor would certainly be impressed with the entrepreneurial spirit and beauty of downtown Perrysburg & revitalized Maumee with a lamb lollipop in hand. There would certainly be a lot of amazing stories and maybe one turned into a song!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Our community really has begun to embrace and showcase its rich history and what makes NW Ohio special. From Native American and Naval heritage, beautiful and unique natural resources, to its industrial legacy and reinvigoration of communities, it makes us proud to be part of a community that is on the upswing and full of positive energy.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Maumee & Perrysburg summers. The River valley is so picturesque and bucolic.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
We care for many patients that despite serious health issues, food insecurity, or major hardships in life, they still wake up everyday thankful and ready to tackle their particular challenges with what little they have.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Belonging, nurturing, and a sense of wellbeing.
